Did you know that Metropolis was modeled after Toronto?

While visiting Toronto in a trip to Canada, I mentioned to my wife that the city inspired one of the comic books cities.  At the time I didn’t remeber which on it was, I though it was Gotham City.  After a quick search in Google, I found that it was actually Metropolis, the city of Superman. Metropolis was actually modeled after Toronto by Joe Shuster, the co-creator and original artist.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metropolis_(comics)
